Once a Group has been created and Samples added to it the group can be used within Searches or as the basis of a Search.
Groups can be applied using the apply control next to the Group name. This creates a Search criterion that limits the Sample List to only those samples that have been defined as being a member of that Group. The exact criterion can be seen in Search Mode in the Meta Data layout of the Browse section.
In the Meta Data Layout of Browse mode the list of Groups that the Sample is assigned to is listed at the bottom of the page. This can be used like any other Data Point for searching. In Search Mode a regular expression can be entered to search for any Sample that is a member of a Group that matches the regular expression entered. This allows you to include Samples that are in more than one Group.
