Anne-Marie Thomson

Anne-Marie Thomson is currently completing her Ph.D. at the University of Manchester. Her research is on the position of Creole in Mauritius.

Anne-Marie has lived and taught abroad in different countries for several years, returning on various occasions to the University of Manchester, where she completed her B.A. (Hons.) degree, PGCE, and M.A. (App. Lings). She speaks (and writes) five languages, and her main interests are sociolinguistics, languages in contact, and teaching English language overseas.
